Redeemed

This one is not a project or a brand. By Lord Redeemed is where I put real experiences to music. Every song comes with the story behind it, the lyrics, the scripture, and the sheet music. All of it is free to stream, download, and sing, because grace itself was free when it reached me. My purpose here is documentation. These songs exist because I needed somewhere honest to put what I have actually walked through.

I was raised in a musical family; my grandmother trained me at the piano and ran church choirs. I am a husband of twenty years and a father of three in Charlotte, and I teach seminary. None of that is the pitch. It is just the ground the music grew out of. I try hard to keep it un-preachy. The conviction is calm and lived rather than loud, and I trust that resonance does what arguments never can. Plus the music is just fun. You have to admit that.

Freely given

There are nineteen songs and counting: Give You What Costs, Sacred Ground, Unbroken Chain, Still He Comes. The streaming is free for everyone; a free account adds downloads, sheet music, and a note when something new arrives. There is a small merch store, and every dollar of profit from it goes to Crisis Assistance Ministry here in Charlotte. If a song helps one person feel less alone on a hard drive home, it did its job.

The whole thing rests on one line I keep coming back to, and it is the only sales pitch I have ever made for any of it: Christ is real.
