Lords of
Lending
SBA education and a podcast from people who actually close 7(a) and 504 deals for a living. No fluff, no sales pitch, just honest capital talk.
The most powerful funding tool for an American small business is an SBA loan, and the process is built to confuse you. Lords of Lending exists to fix that. It is where I teach owners how 7(a), 504, and microloans actually work in plain English, and where we train originators to stop quoting rates and start structuring deals that close.
The teaching is practical, from people who still do this work every day. I run SBA sales, Stephanie Castagnier Dunn is our chief revenue officer, and Brian Congelliere works business development. Between us that is more than fifty-five years of SBA and hundreds of closings. We built the education we wished existed when we started: direct, warm, and honest, the way three friends at a bar would explain it if those three friends happened to do this for a living.
Two doors, one worldview
The site forks on the way in. Business owners get the process demystified: what the programs really cover, what a lender is actually reading, which documents to have ready before you ever apply. Originators get the trade: sourcing, packaging, structure, pipeline, compliance, and the discipline of closing consistently. The through-line for both is the same thing that drives everything I build: tell people the truth and give most of it away.
The weekly podcast is the front porch. Twenty-plus episodes in, it is where the real deals get taken apart: the surveying company, the FedEx routes, the hotel that everyone said could not pencil. If you want to understand how this capital actually moves, that is where I would start.
“The SBA space is full of brokers who quote rates and pray. We build originators who structure deals, manage pipelines, and close.”Lords of Lending
